Enhanced robotic solutions – AVA

The AVA Pharmacy Robotics is a locally designed and manufactured machine that competes with international robotics in speed and capacity terms, yet is unique in it dedication to the high-speed robotic dispensing of medicines in Sachet packaging. Able to hold any number of cartridges from 12 to 76, with each cartridge able to hold up to 140 medicine sachets, the AVA robot is able to pick and dispense up to 900 sachets per hour. The system is also fitted with a dosage label applicator that is installed inline of the picking process, able to dispense up to 600 sachets per hour when fitted. This unique design has been successfully patented and the building of the initial version was performed by our R&D partner, CSIR
